We are delighted to announce that Partner and Head of Franchising Nicola Broadhurst has been appointed as the new Chair of the International Division of the ABA Forum on Franchising. The forum focuses on the study and discussion of the legal aspects of franchising and is a renowned platform for ideas, describing themselves as a “representative of the legal profession”.
Speaking about her recent appointment Nicola commented: "This appointment came as a wonderful surprise and I am very grateful for the opportunity. Taking over from the impressive Martine de Koning in this role will be a tough act to follow but I am looking forward to the challenge. The United States is very much the home of franchising and the legal know how and shared experiences that the Forum provides is superb and insightful. I already know that I have a fantastic group of fellow committee members for whom international franchising is very much their focus and passion and I cannot wait to develop the work of the International Division further with their help."
Nicola specialises in commercial law, with particular expertise in international expansion through franchising, as well as licensing, agency and distribution.
