Stevens & Bolton has advised the shareholders of intelligentgolf on their sale to ClearCourse Partnership LLP.
Based in Warwick, intelligentgolf is a leading web-based provider of golf club and competition management software. It was founded in 2000 and offers a range of cloud and app based services to aid golfers, clubs and golf organisations, including management of player handicaps, member and visitor tee time bookings, society and event management and electronic point of sale. The intelligentgolf platform is accessed over 80,000 a day, and is a well-established name in the UK’s golfing market.
ClearCourse comprises a group of innovative technology companies providing membership software to groups, organisations and small business. This is the tenth acquisition by ClearCourse since its establishment in 2018, and its first venture into the sports and leisure sector.
Jamie Abbott, founder of intelligentgolf, commented “The team at Stevens & Bolton were superb at guiding us through the sale of our company, helping us to protect our interests both in the transaction, and through many legal aspects that came into play. Always at hand to advise, they were a pleasure to deal with and reassured us throughout the process”.
The S&B team was led by corporate partner Keith Syson, supported by associate Krishna Patel (corporate), Sarah Balchin (tax), Rachel Collins (employment), Tom Collins (IP) and Ian Craig (real estate).
