Stevens & Bolton’s corporate and insurance team has advised speciality insurance service provider, Talsen, on its recent acquisition of Callidus, an independent consultancy providing compliance, corporate management and company secretarial services for insurance businesses. Callidus has an international client base, including Lloyd’s corporate members and Lloyd’s managing agencies.
Talsen evolved from the operational platform of Pioneer Underwriters at the end of 2020. It provides practitioner-led advisory and technology solutions covering risk management, finance, underwriting, actuarial, regulatory and operations to its London market as well as international insurance clients and is well known in the industry for its strong delivery across compliance, risk management, claims and advisory.
This strategic acquisition will further enhance Talsen's portfolio of products and services for the insurance industry.
Russell Coward, Chief Executive Officer of Talsen, commented: “We are excited to have agreed the acquisition of Callidus which is a perfect fit for our well-developed and constantly evolving speciality services platform. I welcome the highly experienced, knowledgeable team of consultants and practitioners at Callidus to our business.”
The Stevens & Bolton’s team included Heidi Sawtell (corporate and insurance), Sarah Balchin (corporate tax) and Elena Cafora (corporate).
