Stevens & Bolton has acted in the asset sale of Clements Worldwide to Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. The sale was led by US firm BakerHostetler and Stevens & Bolton advised on the UK elements of the deal in connection with a UK sub-group of companies.
Clements Worldwide, headquartered in Washington DC, is a specialist insurance broker with a 75 year history. The company specialises in providing products and services for expats, diplomats and military personnel and has key industries in high net worth, international schools, foreign service and military abroad. Working out of locations around the world including London, Dublin and Gibraltar, the group joins Gallagher, a global insurance brokerage, risk management and consulting services firm.
The Stevens & Bolton team included Nick Atkins, Sarah Balchin and Charlotte Lane, who led the transaction with regulatory support from Heidi Sawtell and specialist input from Aidan Welton, Andy Williams and Daryl Rivero along with company secretarial support from Baber Yasin, Lucy Barnes and Micky Liu.
