Lemonaid Health, Inc, a US-headquartered group providing a telemedicine and digital pharmacy platform, has joined forces with Nasdaq-listed 23andMe Holding Co., a leading consumer genetics and research company.
Stevens & Bolton acted on supporting Lemonaid Health, which in the UK runs the Boots Online Doctor Service, on the UK aspects of the transaction, having previously acted for Lemonaid Health’s UK subsidiary on its successful launch. Fenwick & West LLP, alongside healthcare law specialists Nelson Hardiman LLP, led the transaction for Lemonaid Health.
Ian Van Every, Managing Director of Lemonaid Health’s UK business, commented, “Nick Atkins, Gustaf Duhs and the team were very responsive throughout and helped us differentiate legal points that we were happy to flex on from points that really mattered. They worked well with our US counsel and are clearly experienced in US-UK deals.”
Nick Atkins, corporate partner at Stevens & Bolton said: “Having worked with the Lemonaid Health team in its establishment of its UK operations and its launch of the Boots Online Doctor Service, it was exciting to work on the UK aspects of this exit, supporting the UK management and working with Fenwick & West. We wish Lemonaid Health all the best for its continued growth as part of the 23andMe family.”
The Stevens & Bolton team was led by corporate partner, Nick Atkins, together with commercial and regulatory partner, Gustaf Duhs, and Shehla Pirwany (corporate) and Tom O’Dell (corporate).
