EU Settlement Scheme applications
As a result of Brexit, free movement for European nationals ended at 11pm on 31 December 2020. European nationals and their family members who arrived in the UK by that time were required to apply for settled or pre-settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme to remain in the UK long term. The deadline for applications was 30 June 2021. The only exceptions are those who are dual British nationals, those who are Irish nationals and those who have indefinite leave to remain.
We can assist you or your family members with late application under the EU Settlement Scheme and for applications for settled status and we are also able to advise on some of the pitfalls associated with the EU Settlement Scheme, such as the impact of lengthy absences from the UK on your ability to obtain settled status. We are also able to advise in relation to family members wishing to come to the UK to join those with settled or pre-settled status.
We also advise in relation to applications for naturalisation as a British citizen.
Frontier worker permit
If you are primarily resident outside of the UK but have undertaken work in the UK before 1 January 2021 you may able to apply for a frontier worker permit to enable you to continue to come to the UK to undertake work and we can assist you with this application.
