Duncan provides a wide range of taxation and accountancy compliance services to private client trustees and individuals.
Duncan’s background is as an accountant, having previously trained and qualified at a City firm of chartered accountants. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and a member of both the Chartered Institute of Taxation, and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He joined Stevens & Bolton in 2018 to provide a holistic service to our clients.
Duncan has 20 years of experience in administering UK and non-UK resident trusts, including preparation of financial statements, UK self-assessment tax returns, and inheritance tax compliance. He also advises trustees in relation to compliance with UK Anti-Money Laundering and Automatic Exchange of Information legislation.
He has extensive experience in advising non-UK resident trustees on their UK taxation exposure, including distributing funds to UK resident individuals, and the forensic calculation and reporting of historic pools of trust income and gains.
Duncan provides personal taxation services to individuals, including the preparation of self-assessment tax returns.
Duncan also acts as Company Secretary to Stevens & Bolton Trustees Ltd, our in house captive trustee company.
