Welcome to the July edition of our restructuring and insolvency bulletin. Following sweltering temperatures this week, summer appears to have finally arrived and it feels (almost) like we’re already on our holidays (although we have also been enjoying the air conditioning in the office!). Weather aside, the race to find our next prime minister is hotting up and there have been plenty of other interesting developments in the news besides.
In the last edition of our bulletin before the summer break, we discuss (amongst other things) novel uses for schemes of arrangements, a couple of recent consultations on changes to insolvency laws, the interim report on the changes introduced by the Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act 2020 and, in a guest post from our immigration team, top tips on acquisitions of a company in administration. Hopefully enough to tide you over until autumn!
