Stevens & Bolton LLP has advised AL-KO Kober SE on the UK elements of the sale of AL-KO Vehicle Technology (“AL-KO VT”) to Dexter Axle, a market leader in axle manufacturing, based in Indiana, USA. Led by German counsel Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, the transaction is scheduled to complete on 1 January 2016 under the merged name of “DexKo Global Inc”.
AL-KO VT is a leading European designer and manufacturer of trailer axles, trailer and caravan components, chassis and motorised chassis, operating from 40 locations worldwide. Stevens & Bolton LLP supported AL-KO Kober SE and lead counsel Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek on the transaction as well as a pre-sale group reorganisation. As part of the transaction AL-KO Kober SE will receive shares in DexKo Global Inc, which will be a world leading axle manufacturer in its sector with a turnover of approximately €850m.
