Stevens & Bolton LLP has advised a longstanding energy client on a methane gas to energy project in Aycliffe, North West East. The green methane gas to electricity project is one of many renewable electricity projects which Stevens & Bolton LLP has been involved in.
The project will benefit from both Rocs and Lecs and create green renewable energy for transmission to the grid. The project itself will have a 500kW generator package installed on site and will utilise the landfill gas as a fuel source and will operate for a period of 10-15 years upon commissioning.
The deal follows an initiative by ENER-G Natural Power limited to make available its fleet of hire out generators to enable prospects to maximise gas capture and energy generation at landfill sites around the UK.
The Stevens & Bolton LLP team included Beverley Flynn and Victoria Pope (commercial), Catherine Davey (environmental) and Michael Laver (property).
