Stevens & Bolton is delighted to announce that it will be supporting Growth Builder, a business growth programme designed by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, powered by public and private partners including the Department for International Trade, PwC, Loughborough University, BT and the UK Business Angel Association.
Growth Builder is a tailored programme for ambitious high growth UK businesses to enable them to rapidly and sustainably scale-up. The programme is free and open to businesses from any sector. It is for ambitious leaders of fast-growing businesses, providing the opportunity to access connections across government, education, corporates, investors and successful entrepreneurs. The programme incorporates workshops, guest lectures from proven entrepreneurs and mentoring.
The first cohort graduated in March with nine out of ten participants saying they would recommend it to their peers. Growth Builder is already proving to be a great success with ambitious leaders of small businesses with real growth potential.
Businesses are able to apply online to participate in Growth Builder, and a nine-month long cohort of 40 businesses will be chosen based on the programme’s guidelines and a selection process. Stevens & Bolton’s support for Growth Builder begins with it sponsoring the next two cohorts in London. As well as sponsorship, Stevens & Bolton will provide in-kind value to the programme, including contribution to the shaping of the programme and participation in workshops.
Timothy Barnes, Loughborough University and Growth Builder Programme Lead explains, “We are shortly going to begin recruiting for the second Growth Builder cohort so this is the perfect time for us to welcome a new partner and we are delighted to have Stevens & Bolton on board.”
Nick Atkins, head of the Stevens & Bolton entrepreneurs sector group, commented, “This is a fantastic opportunity for S&B to support entrepreneurs in their efforts to bridge the UK scale-up gap. It’s a demonstration of our commitment to entrepreneurs and nurturing growth. Given the exciting programme Growth Builder has to offer, all free of charge, we strongly encourage entrepreneurial clients and contacts to log-on, take a look at what Growth Builder can offer and apply”.
