Stevens & Bolton LLP has advised Adur District Council on the development of Big Beachbox Cafe at Shoreham Beach by Boxpark.
Boxpark, the creators of the world’s first pop-up mall, are a Brighton based, retail development company specialising in creating unique retail spaces using shipping containers. Boxpark currently operates three sites, Boxpark Shoreditch a fashion retail scheme, Boxpark Wembley and Boxpark Croydon food and drink only schemes. Shoreham Beach will be Boxpark’s first scheme outside London.
The deal shows the Council’s commitment to creating new and exciting spaces in teaming up with the casual dining and retail developer, with a view to introducing community space for local businesses, community groups and residents, as well as somewhere new and exciting for people to relax and eat, while enjoying the seafront location.
The Stevens & Bolton team was led by real estate partner, Howard Lupton, supported by Alice Donzelot (real estate) and Ben Willis (construction).
Martin Randall, Director for the Economy for Adur District Council, commented: "We have been delighted with the advice provided by the Stevens & Bolton team and in particular, their positive outlook and pragmatic approach to finding solutions”.
