Drapers Sustainable Fashion 2021 conference

Head of our retail, franchising and sustainability groups, Nicola Broadhurst, will be speaking at this year’s Drapers Sustainable Fashion virtual conference on the important topic of avoiding the greenwashing trap on 10th March.

Greenwashing continues to plague the fashion industry and trap the unwary, but it is more fundamental than ever with the increasing focus on sustainability– both by consumer and, increasingly, MPs – to ensure your brand is aligned to the law when it comes to sustainability.

The award-winning Drapers Sustainable Fashion conference is aimed at bringing together the UK fashion industry to discuss how to move towards a greener future. This year’s conference will explore the latest developments in cleaning up fashion’s supply chain, and look at how to build the industry back better after the coronavirus pandemic.

Much of Nicola’s work involves advising fashion and luxury brands on the commercial expansion of their business operations whether through licensing, distribution, agency or franchising as well as mergers and acquisitions. Her practice has a clear focus on international expansion and brand protection as well as consumer law compliance and helping clients achieve their ESG goals. Clients include household names as well as boutique designers.
